Quote of the day: “The past has no power over me because I am willing to learn and to change. I see the past as necessary to bring me where I am today. I am willing to begin where I am right now to clean the rooms of my mental house. I know it does not matter where I start…” — Louise L. Hay

We’ll have to pick a sunny day on a U.K. beach!

Well if it is cloudy we can enjoy a cup of tea in a used bookstore and imagine we are on a beach.

That is a great piece of work (I like the sculpture, too.)

🙂 Happy Wednesday! Not quite the same as the Hudson River School of Driftwood Sculptures, but still an amazing discovery at the end of a little sandy road.

Yup, Louise is right.
And I have big closets in BC, and no closets to speak of in Abaco. Guess which I prefer? 🙂

I wonder if I would need closets in my tropical house, since my wardrobe would consist of bikinis, sarongs, flip-flops and pretty lightweight sundresses?

Please explain the bit about turquoise, thank you.

Two things, Munira – the color itself is one of my favorites, and I’ve made it the trim color in my room, it swirls through my blankets and emerges in all the art in my bedroom. It reminds me of the Caribbean water. And the thought of the stone itself is something I now associate with my new beau. And I like that. And him.

And it’s my birthstone! 🙂
I wear a turquoise and agate ring all the time. It’s one of my favorites too. And you know what? I gave my beau turquoise buttons for his birthday 🙂

That it’s your birthstone is all the more reason for me to like it, Munira!

I remember closets… lol My house is an old old one. So old it has no closets anywhere in it. Hard to hide things away without them!

:-), Cin. My last house (“the Cottage”) was new and had ONE closet – half shelves and half water heater. Nothing else. It made me nuts. The Bungalow (MY house that I just bought) is 111 years old but thankfully has a closet in each bedroom!

I think I would be happy to never hear the F word again………….ever. The quote is superlative. I have already begun the transformation, wish everyone was capable of that.

Oops, sorry to hit a sore spot, delana! But you made me laugh. 🙂 I am so glad you are beginning the transformation. It is so hard. And no, not everyone has the strength to do that – or maybe it’s the courage. Something to think about. You go, girl.
