I love door photos too! These are great colours, too. Very Dutch.
And tell us how you age gracefully. I feel as if I have been bumbling my way through aging!
I like that! Even though these aren’t the “Dutch” doors that I’ve always loved, I like thinking that they are Dutch. Kelse really adored Amsterdam when she was there two years ago (the little rotter, without me). Aging gracefully? Know that every time you step, you dance, and every grey hair is a new silver adornment.
And I had a house once, a very very soft blue, all white trim and a magenta door. It was great! And I tried to sell it. It didn’t sell until we’d painted the door white. Coincidence? 🙂
🙂 We’re going to paint the Bungalow yellow with white trim – but probably not till next summer – I’m tempted to really do her up in the style of a Painted Lady…
I think I’d have loved your magenta door – I wonder what kind of feng shui that has?
That makes sense. And I’d include magenta in that list. 😉
And I am an old welcoming American, and Scottish and I paid for the house in cash, so that all works for me!
Cozy Corner is try nice – we spent a month there. I don’t love the wood trim, would prefer the white trim that you described. And the little pool wasn’t bad, but not sure if they’re useful in CO?

Me too. I want to write about why that is. I understand it on a wordless level, but I think the words are there.

Doors are literally openings that allow us to continue exploring. I always love to peek behind doors to discover new things, things that a thousand words were not enough to describe. Sharinga nother blue door:

Too true, grightnow. Thank you for sharing the link – I love the gaping mouth of the door in the field of blue.

There is a mystery about what is going on and what has gone on behind them. Great shot. We need brighter doors here.

I think you could acheive that goal, waywardbound. You’d be the talk of the town.

I do like my silvers.

Canary yellow? Flaming yellow?
With white trim makes it a classic.
It was a deep and rich magenta, Bourdeaux, wine… I loved it!

We can only describe what we want as “beach house” yellow. Kind of like butter.

I love seeing brightly painted doors. I believe it started as a protection against spirits thing if I am remembering right. But I might be wrong. lol.
One day I want to have a house that is vibrant colours.

I’ll have to look that one up – now I’m curious.

Thanks, Cin! I have one of those Turkish evil eye stones over my bed. Although my ex-flame gave it to me. Another hmmmm.

Sheesh. Cozy Corner is VERY nice.
Don’t get old. Or fall on your head.
Doesn’t bode well for coherence.

Hmmm. Remember, I’m aging gracefully (and so are you) and I’ve already been dropped on my head – there’s an unfortunate history of that in my family.

OW!
And I am aging… working on gracefully!
