Me too, celia – always on the lookout for them. I think I’ve caused many a narrow miss by abruptly pulling off the road when i see one.

I love shots of old barns or houses like that. Makes you ponder what its story is.

I’ve often thought I could write a book of short stories about abandoned houses, Cin.

So cool to have a mountain backdrop. Rudi grew up with it, I never did.
Do you have a drive-in that shows movies? Those were the days. I’d love to show one to the kids…

There’s one in Buena Vista, where I was this past weekend, but I don’t know if its open in the summer or if its abandoned. But there IS one up north of me about 45 minutes! I’m hoping to take Kelsea next summer. I’ve only been twice myself. Back when I was growing up in NC, the only drive-in theaters showed XXX features! Needless to say, they were secluded in masses of trees.

That’s funny, SS!! We did have one near where I lived as a first-married person, not covered by trees, with XXX too!
I hope you and Kelsea get to experience a drive-in theatre together. Quite a nice slice of Americana!!

I’m determined to, Patty. Just not the xxx kind!
