I was talking about this with Rob the other night. My uncle was in the army for most his life. He is so incredibly messed up now because of it. His PTSD can be pretty bad, his body is all beat up and broken and he has to take a variety of meds to get through a day.
So while war kills, it also completley breaks a person. And that is just as sad to me. 😦
Thank you, Cin. I seem to have had a penchant for caring deeply for Vietnam era vets. We are drawn to one another, perhaps from my subconscious sense to resue men and their unconscious desire to be saved from their past and their memories.
