Trains have played a significant role in my life, my lineage, and in MKL’s as well. We’re off on a journey tomorrow (not by rail but by road, which we both love), so this view down the tracks felt a bit fitting.
Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Quote of the Day: “It’s just that…I just think that some things are meant to be broken. Imperfect. Chaotic. It’s the universe’s way of providing contrast, you know? There have to be a few holes in the road. It’s how life is.” — Sarah Dessen
Daily gratitudes:
Working from home with my little pumpkin
Tapestry shawls
Masses of pillows
Things to look forward to

Happy Thanksgiving. My grandfather was a train mechanic for years. I always thought that was so cool. If you had car problems, grandpa was your man!

My grandfather worked as a switchman for a while! Happy Thanksgiving to you too, TBM. I was thinking of you this morning – guess they don’t celebrate it across the pond, do they? Will you be turkeying it up anyway?

Some American friends have invited us over to their home, so it will be like celebrating in the states without all the cooking. Perfect for me.
