A white sunset on White Bay.  Sometimes the sky reflects the brilliance of the sand, just as the bellies of the seagulls reflect the turquoise of the water. This is one of the most amazing places I’ve ever been under a full moon. Magical.

As The Sun Goes Down

White Bay, Jost van Dyke, British Virgin Islands.

Quote of the day: “Do not be afraid; our fate cannot be taken from us; it is a gift.”  —  Dante Alighieri

Daily gratitudes:
MKL
A seagull’s call
My first robin of the season
Tulips coming up in front of my fence
Wearing one of my favorite shirts

Pigs

Racing across the field
Snouts to the wind,
Trotters trotting,
Hooves kicking up the dry Kansas dust,
They bounce,
They bound,
They skip,
They prance,
They rise,

They fly.

Note: I’m a late starter to NaPoWriMo, so I’ll have to catch up by writing a couple of extra poems in one day!
