This is Mr. P. Not to be confused with Mr. Man, my Maine Coon cat. Mr. P. is our travelling companion/airplane pillow. My last airplane pillow, which was wonderful, was only wonderful until its inflatable self developed some kind of leak and stopped being pillowy. Mr. P seems to have no objections to being contorted into any shape which comfortably fits a neck, as long as he’s along for the ride. Apparently Dina, our housekeeper at Exuma Palms, had some skepticism where Mr. P was concerned, as we would often return to our sparkling clean room only to find our furry friend face down on the second bed. Perhaps Dina just didn’t like having him watch her clean – he does has a rather intense gaze, thought it’s perhaps hard to tell from his peek-a-boo perspective in this shot. He now stays beside my aircraft carrier-size bed, patiently awaiting his next adventure.

Great Exuma, Bahamas.
