I like the simplicity of this photo, and I adore Lao Tzu’s words. I often choose his quotes for my blog.

I had forgotten about him for a while, but he was one of my favorite philosophers in my college days. I think I still have a book somewhere…

Kelsea home for the w/e? Remind me, please, where she will be going to college? Ray drives a school bus. Did orientation today for kindergarteners and their parents. He said the mommies looked stricken at the idea of handing their little ones over. He was asked repeatedly if HE would be their driver all year, and why COULDN’T he be, etc. Poor things. Really. I feel for them. But they’ll sort themselves out. So will you, dear. It will be ok.

Kelsea is home from orientation. She will be going to college at Western Washington University, leaving next month. I’m trying not to think about it. I remember being the mommy sending her little girl into Kindergarten. The teacher just shooed us out the door without a chance to really say goodbye. I think she knew best.
